In our Prayer and Liturgy this week, the children have learned that the first disciples were born into families of fishermen. Jesus called them and they gave up everything to follow Him. The children heard that God has a deeper purpose for us all. God invites us to hear His call and respond to the amazing plans He has for us. In class, we have been encouraging the children to shine and show they are following in Jesus' footsteps. We have been looking for active listeners and active learners.

Thank-you for continuing to encourage TTRS at home. House points continue to be earned for this. Please, if you haven't already, get your children to log on and have a go. https://ttrockstars.com/

The target is a minimum of 16 children to receive a golden ticket this week (we managed 7 last week). Has your child read atleast three times this week, and is it in their reading log? Please update them for tomorrow! (Wednesday 28.1.26)

In English, the children have chosen an illustration from The Rhythm of the Rain and they have been planning their Setting Narrative about it,

In Maths, we have been looking at inverse and the links between multiplying and dividing. Looking at factors and products.

In Science, we have learned about magnetism and which poles of the magnets attract and repel. The children investigated this with magnets in school.

In History, we are continuing our learning all about the Romans.

In PE, the children are enjoying Handball and Gymnastics.

In Music, we have been rehearsing a song all about online safety.

At Our Lady's we like to support our parents/carers in Online Safety matters.

Keeping children and young people safe online is one of the biggest challenges facing society today and it is all of our responsibility to ensure that children are educated to make positive, informed choices when they are online.

This month’s online safety guide gives helpful advice about…

What Parents and Educators Need to Know about Roblox A #WakeUpWednesday guide examining Roblox’s user-created games, highlighting risks around chat, spending and excessive play for children.

We hope you find these guides informative and helpful in promoting the positive use of technology to make the online world a better and safer place for us all. Thank you.
