Our learning this week…
In English the children have created a mood palette of words and phrases from one of the illustrations from our new text, the Journey, which they created through drama. We have begun to draft our diary entries.
Our focus in maths has been looking at multiplying using a formal method.
In RE we have begun looking at the question Jesus asked Simon -Peter.
In this week’s prayer and liturgy we reflected on the Word in Matthew-Jesus goes to the River Jordan where John the Baptist is helping people turn back to God and make a fresh start. When Jesus is baptised, something amazing happens: the heavens open, the Holy Spirit comes down like a dove, and God’s voice says, “This is my Son, whom I love.”
This scripture helps us understand that Jesus is chosen by God, loved deeply, and ready to begin his mission of teaching people how to love, forgive, and care for one another. It also reminds us that we are loved by God too, just as we are.
“This is my Son, whom I love.”
Matthew 3:13-17
