In our Prayer and Liturgy this week, the children have been challenged to serve others. We have thought about how they could do this and we will be looking out for children who are actively trying to do just that, this week.

We are diving even deeper into our learning this term and enjoying the challenge in Year 3. Thank-you for continuing to encourage TTRS at home. We are also seeing more golden tickets being earned - the target is a minimum of 8 children to receive one this week (the target will be 16 children by next week). Has your child read atleast three times this week, and is it in their reading log? Please update them for tomorrow! (Wednesday 21.1.26)

In English, the children have enjoyed looking at the illustrations in our vehicle text - The Rhythm of the Rain. The children have written sentences describing the illustrations which include key language features that we are looking for in Year 3 (prepositions, nouns, verbs and conjunctions to name a few).

In Maths, we have continued multiplying and dividing. We are multiplying a 2 digit number by a 1 digit number.. using the expanded written method. This is a challenge! TTRS will really support them with this.

In Science, we have started learning about forces. The children investigated surfaces and friction this week.

In History, we are learning all about the Romans.

In PE, the children are enjoying Handball and Gymnastics.

In Music, we have been learning a song all about online safety.

TTRS Competition (started on Monday and runs till the 12th February)

Our school is currently in 4th place out of 15 schools in the trust and we have scored 806 points (school average score) so far.

Online Safety at Our Lady's

At Our Lady's we like to support our parents/carers in Online Safety matters.

Keeping children and young people safe online is one of the biggest challenges facing society today and it is all of our responsibility to ensure that children are educated to make positive, informed choices when they are online.

This month’s online safety guide gives helpful advice about…

What Parents and Educators Need to Know about Digital Devices & Wellbeing A #WakeUpWednesday guide helping parents and educators understand how digital devices affect children’s wellbeing and how to promote healthier habits.

We hope you find these guides informative and helpful in promoting the positive use of technology to make the online world a better and safer place for us all. Thank you.
