We had a lovely reminder in our Celebration of the Word this week, that we are all beloved by God. On Monday, Mr Duffy shared the message from the Gospel about Jesus' baptism, a beautiful event which made a bold statement He is God's Son. This Tuesday, the children have enjoyed a short meditation in our class Celebration of the Word, where we recognized that each one of us is beloved by God and we are invited to follow Jesus' example.
Thank-you for logging in to TTRS at home. We have handed out many house points and we will continue to each time the children use TTRS at home. Speedy recall of multiplication facts will only come from lots of practise and rote learning. Please try to find time in your daily routine for this (and reading ofcourse!).
In English, the children have enjoyed reading and looking at the illustrations in our vehicle text - The Rhythm of the Rain. It really is a beautiful book! The children are going to be writing a setting narrative to describe an illustration from the book. We have been examining an example text to help the children recognize what their writing should look like.
In Maths, we have continued multiplying and dividing. We are multiplying a 2 digit number by a 1 digit number.. sometimes with an exchange required too! TTRS will really support them with this.
In Science, we have started learning about forces. Contact and non-contact forces. The children have been investigating push and pull forces.
