Good Afternoon!
During our whole school worship this forthcoming week, the children will grow in their understanding of these key messages...
- Advent is a time of preparation for Jesus’ birth at Christmas and looking forward to His Second Coming.
- We have hope because Jesus is coming back.
- As Pilgrims of Hope, we can prepare by knowing our hope is in Jesus, and sharing our hope with others.
OUR LEARNING THIS WEEK...
ENGLISH - The children have been exploring the meaning of a range of vocabulary, linked to their weekly spelling. We have been investigating adding the prefix 'anti-' and exploring how this changes the meaning of the root word, please encourage your child to continue practising their spellings at home.
MATHS - This week, we have been continuing to develop our understanding of multiplication and division. The children worked hard to solve a range of real life word problems using a range of mathematical skills and reasoning.
RE - As part of our current topic 'Prophecy and Promise', the children considered the story of Joseph and the Angel. We focused on the courage and faith Joseph showed and how Christians might follow this example in their own lives'.
