All the children who ran for the position of head boy and head girl did an amazing job: reading with confidence; engaging their audience by making eye contact and ensuring that their voice could be heard. Well done.

That being said it made it extremely difficult for the whole school to decide on 2 people!!

Mrs Mannix felt that as there were tied votes for head girl this year there will be two head girls and 3 deputies.

The results are (as voted by the school):

Head Boy: Alexander Deputy: Kurt

Head Girl: Mia and Lily T Deputy: Lilly Ch Grace and Hallie

Not only have year 6 been exceptional role models in school they have also taken their values into Church today for their class mass on The Kingdom of God. They were exploring and questioning as part of our RE topic- What is a kingdom? How do I contribute to this kingdom? How do my actions grow the kingdom?

The children all brought an object that was important to them to demonstrate the Kingdom of God is not and object but a place we all contribute too, it is not and object but it is within us all and when we welcome this kingdom then :

The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them.

At Our Lady's we like to support our parents/carers in Online Safety matters.

Keeping children and young people safe online is one of the biggest challenges facing society today and it is all of our responsibility to ensure that children are educated to make positive, informed choices when they are online.

This month’s online safety guide gives helpful advice about…

What Parents & Educators Need to Know about Final Fantasy XIV  This free guide covers the risks of the popular video game Final Fantasy XIV, as well as letting you know how to help young players safely enjoy this MMORPG.

We hope you find these guides informative and helpful in promoting the positive use of technology to make the online world a better and safer place for us all. Thank you.
