"All Saints Day serves as a reminder that we too are called to be saints." Pope Francis
We welcomed in this new half term with a whole school mass to celebrate the feast of All Saints.
We appreciated the time to reflect on what it is to be saint. Fr. Frank talked about how the word ‘Saint’ means holy and to be a saint is to treat others as we would treat Jesus. I think Our Lady’s is full of Saints in the making!
Here’s what else we have been up to this week…
In Maths we have been consolidating our understanding of equivalent and simplifying fractions.
In English we have started our new unit on Biography writing.
In RE we were asking and responding to questions about the Kingdom of God. We thought of two questions we found difficult to answer ourselves and went around the class to ask our friends to respond to them. Once we had our friend’s response we then wrote a reflection on what we thought.
In History we have continued with our Battle of Britain topic and we are enjoying role playing the parts of a pilot sharing his knowledge and we are hoping to record these interview on our trip to Hangar 42 on the 13th November.
