"So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them." Genesis 1:27

On Tuesday some of year 6 had the privilege of attending the Show Racism the Red card conference, at Blackpool Football Club. This day had a huge impact on all of them and they took so much away from it. They had three workshops: one was about hate crime, another on discrimination and prejudice and the other was a tour around the football grounds. They also had the opportunity to meet some of the players and on their return to school this week presented what they had learnt to the rest of the class and year 4.

Still on the topic of football, our wonderful girls team played a remarkable game and we are so proud of their success.

MAD SCIENCE

On Friday, thanks to the wonderful work the current year 6 did with Mrs McVey in year 5 on their daffodil experiments, the whole school were able to enjoy an assembly delivered by the Mad Science company on Space. Then year 6 took part in a workshop on light, colour and how fireworks made to be so colourful. It was fantastic as you can tell by the photographs below!

Well done to Grace for winning the Golden award for her fantastic presentation on the Kingdom of God.

Congratulation to Peter for the writing award and to Elsie for her great maths work.

I hope you have a wonderful half term.
