Dear Parents,
Just an update on Year 1’s planned trip to go to The Grand Theatre on Tuesday 19th May.
I had an email from a lady at The Grand to say that the performance would NOT go ahead on the above date as they expected the theatre to remain closed for some time. I was expecting this. However, on a positive note the performance has been moved to 22nd/23rd of September! Our booking with The Grand remains - it is just that it will now be a trip for them at the start of Year 2, rather than in Year 1 as Mrs Veasey and I had planned. Although I am disappointed that I will not get to take the children as planned, I am delighted that the children will still get to see the performance as it is so lovely.
As yet, I am not sure what the arrangements will be - whether it will be Mrs Veasey and I who take the children or whether they will go with Mr Whetnell and Mrs Bowdell - but the good news for the children is that they still get to go!
The timings and pricing for the performance will remain as they were - it is just the date that has changed. THANK-YOU to those parents who have already paid for the trip - if you are happy to leave your money with school then you will be super organised for September! For all other parents you can simple pay for the trip as and when we return to school. I have attached the original letter to the bottom of this post - just note that the date is now TUESDAY 22ND SEPTEMBER.
