MUSIC

This week you will be completing Lockdown Lesson 5’. Here are Miss Benson’s instructions:

This week’s ‘Listen & Appraise” is the song “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow.” Click on the ‘Appraise’ tab to see questions on the music. Click ‘next’ to work through these questions. Really think about each one as they are there to encourage you to listen to the instruments, dynamics, structure, texture and style of the music. You can click ‘show answer’ to reveal the answer to each question. Click on ‘Extended Listening’ and see how many of the keywords you understand.

Next – a ‘Listen Out’ task – ‘Pure Imagination’ from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.  Really listen to the instruments before choosing which ones you can hear in the extract.

Lastly, we are going to start learning how to sign the song ‘You’ve got a Friend.’ Watch the video and copy the actions.

GOOGLE MEET-Friday 12th @ 9.30am

At half 9, on Friday morning, I am going to arrange a Google Meet for all of the class to join. I will be emailing the link to the Google meet to all parents, along with a list of rules/expectations, on Thursday. If the class can start to join the meeting any time from about 9.20am, this would ensure we are all on the meeting by half 9. I thought this would be a lovely way for the class to see each other (even if it is through a screen!) and have catch up about our first half term of remote learning. It is also a chance for the children to discuss anything they have found challenging this half term as well as the things they have enjoyed the most. The session will last about 45 mins, until 10.15am. I will be in school with Mrs Murray and all of those from the class that are in school that day, so the whole team will be there! I look forward to seeing so many of your faces again!

The timetable reflects 4 hours of learning per day, in line with the DfE requirements. It is also a requirement for teachers to receive evidence of the work the children are completing at home, and for feedback purposes as well. I do not mind when the work is sent, whether it be daily, every other day or weekly, but I must have some communication with parents at least once a week. Please email work to me by 1.30pm on a Friday, if possible, so that I am able to feedback to the children before the end of the school day. Thank you your support with this.
