This week we have been talking about the great historical event that will take place on Saturday - King Charles’s Coronation . We have talked about what the Coronation is, where it will take place and what will happen. In addition to the special coronation lunch, the children have done activities to celebrate this special occasion.
In English the children have focused on five images from our text ‘King Kong’ and have created their own expanded noun phrases.
In Maths the children have been multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 and 1000.
In science the children have investigated which materials are the best thermal insulators and conductors.
PE/resilience - The children worked in their house times doing different athletic style activities - sprinting, relay, hurdles and javelin. The focus was on being independent and also working as part of a team.
Computing - The children have continued to develop their stop motion skills and created more animations.
