Tuesday 19th March - Open afternoon
I am so excited to welcome you to Year 3 between 2 and 4pm on Tuesday. All parents are invited to join us in class on this day anytime after 2pm to 4pm to see what we do in class, talk to your child about their work, as all their books will be out and talk to their teachers about their learning and have a look round our class. We hope you can join us!
Please enter through the main school entrance and you will be directed upstairs.
Once you have finished, you may take your child home.
Thursday 21st March - please join us IN CHURCH for a Lent Reflection for Year 3 lead by Fr.Frank at 2.40pm. We would like as many parents, carers, grandparents as possible to join us for this special liturgy.
ON THIS DAY ALL CHILDREN MUST TO COLLECTED FROM CHURCH. EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO COME TO THE SERVICE YOUR CHILD MUST BE COLLECTED FROM CHURCH. ONLY CHILDREN AT AFTER SCHOOL CLUB WILL BE BOUGHT BACK BY SCHOOL STAFF.
We have been extremely busy with our learning in Year 3 this week. Here’s what we have been up to…
In Maths, the children have finished their length topic and moved onto fractions, starting with a practical fraction lesson today.
In English, the children have been writing their own return narratives.
In Science, the children have been conducting experiments to determine the strengths of magnets.
In RE, the children have learned about the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
In PE, the children have started to work on fielding skills.
In DT, the children have been designing castles!
