Year 1 have been shining brightly this week….and this half term. They make me very proud of them each and every day and cannot believe that we have reached that half way point in the year! This week they have been showing that they are disciple of Christ through their words, their actions and their consideration of others. A great week in Year 1.

Thank-you for the contributions to the PFTA fund to improve the library - the children all looked fab in their silly socks!

This week we are celebrating …….

Golden Award - Olivia for shining her light for Jesus

Writing Award - Rose for beautiful independent RE writing

This week we have been learning….

English - we have been looking at the importance of using full stops and capital letters in our writing, along with our usual RWI groups.

Maths - this week has been all about shapes - 2d and 3d - naming them, describing their properties and even making pictures with them!

Science - this week we finished off our Materials topic by looking at ‘odd one out’ and explaining why.

RE - this week we wrote about Baptism, showing all that we have learnt.
