We are now approaching half term and it has been a very busy start to the new school year. The children are all working very hard and it has been a joy to see the wonderful work going up around school demonstrating everything they have been studying.
There are several events just around the corner which we would like to draw your attention to...
We are taking individual school photographs on Thursday 8th October. (if you have a family group you can come in between 8.30am - 9am) otherwise individual photos for each class begin from 9.05am.
The PTA will be meeting to discuss future events on Thursday evening 8th October. If you think you would like to find out a little more about the work of the PTA then please come along on this evening at 6:00pm. You would be very welcome.
On Wednesday 14th October we will be dressing up for National Maths Day and will all be taking part in some terrific maths challenges. We hope parents will be able to come into class straight after school on this day to see children’s amazing maths work!
On Friday afternoon (16th October) we will hold our annual Harvest celebration. We will be completing the day with a short service led by the children at 2.30pm in church. We hope parents and families are able to join us for this!
This year we are again collecting tins etc on behalf of our local charity ‘StreetLife’. We have asked each class to bring a certain type of foodstuff. (letter given out) Yr 6 will place into boxes for collection. We have only asked the children for 1 item each, but if you do have more to spare these would be gratefully appreciated by the charity.
On Tuesday 20th October our PTA are holding an ‘Own Clothes Day’ where the charge will be to bring a bottle to school for our Christmas Event.

Finally, time slots for Parents Day (Wednesday 21st October) will be available from next week. Please see class teacher or Mrs Wilson in the office to confirm your preferred time.
