Task 1- Design your own bookmark competition

Your first task is to design your own bookmark. Below, I have attach a template for you to use. When you have completed your bookmark please email me a picture of your entry. I will be picking one winner from Year 6, who will receive a prize AND we will print their bookmark off for everyone in the class to have!

Below is a book template that I would like you to complete, all about your favourite book! Please do send me pictures as I would love to read all about your favourite books and what you love so much about them!

Task 3-Word Scavenger Hunt

Below I have attached a scavenger hunt checklist. Your mission it to find each item on the checklist in the books you have at home. This could be the actual word or a picture. See how many you can find in total!

Task 4-Reading in an unusual place

Now this is a fun task! I would like you to send me a picture of you reading in an unusual place in your house or garden. Be as creative as you like! Perhaps you could create a den and read in there? Maybe you have a cosy cupboard or somewhere in the garden? I look forward to seeing some of your peculiar reading spots!

Here is a World Book Day quiz that you may wish to have a go at, at home. See how many you get right! I have attached the answers as well, so you can add up your scores!

I hope you enjoy your World Book Day, even if you are having to celebrate this day from home. Please do still dress up-I would love to see pictures! I have set 5 tasks, but just complete as many as you can. I would ask that you prioritise the Book Mark Competition as I would love for all of your entries to be part of the class competition!
