Task 1- Design your own bookmark competition

Your first task is to design your own bookmark. Below, I have attach a template for you to use. When you have completed your bookmark please email me a picture of your entry by Monday 8th March. I will be picking one winner from Year 6, who will receive a special certificate from Miss Haggerty. Miss Haggerty will then pick one overall KS1 and KS2 winner and they will receive an extra little something and their bookmark will be printed! Winners will be announced on Friday 12th March. Task 3-Reading in an unusual place

Now this is a fun task! I would like you to send me a picture of you reading in an unusual place in your house or garden. Be as creative as you like! Perhaps you could create a den and read in there? Maybe you have a cosy cupboard or somewhere in the garden? I look forward to seeing some of your peculiar reading spots!

MUSIC

This week’s lesson is called Music & Image - part 2. Here are Miss Benson’s instructions:

This week I would like you to start describing music using the correct musical language. I would like you to watch the videos on dynamics and then try the quiz. Also I would like you to watch the video on texture.

Now…listen again to The Imperial March by John Williams and describe the dynamics and the texture throughout the piece. Do they change or remain the same?

The timetable reflects 4 hours of learning per day, in line with the DfE requirements. It is also a requirement for teachers to receive evidence of the work the children are completing at home, and for feedback purposes as well. I do not mind when the work is sent, whether it be daily, every other day or weekly, but I must have some communication with parents at least once a week. Please email work to me by 1.30pm on a Friday, if possible, so that I am able to feedback to the children before the end of the school day. Thank you your support with this. Click here to read this week’s news blog and look at some pictures of the work from last week.
