In July this year our school were supposed to be involved in the RSC’s Playmaking Festival in Stratford but due to current circumstances this can no longer go ahead as planned this year. But instead, because we are an Associate School each week for the next 5 weeks, the RSC will be setting a Creative Challenge for the children. These are simple, performance based activities based on the plays schools were focusing on this year - As You Like It and The Taming of the Shrew (the one we focused on). If your child would like to take part, please look at the link below for further details and if anyone would like to share their results of the Creative Challenges with the RSC (and the public) then please email them to me. Please note, for safeguarding purposes they have asked home learners to submit any videos to school for us to pass on to them so we can then confirm permissions for any video used in their final film. The RSC will then make a compilation video of performances by the young people. While they may not be able to include every submission, they will try to get a representative mix from across the country. The final film will then be broadcast via YouTube on 8th July when we would have been performing with other schools in Stratford.

If you want to submit your child’s entry (from any Year group) and agree to it being used by the RSC in their film, then please email me at year5@our-lady.blackpool.sch.uk . Please ensure you have read the safeguarding guidance attached when submitting video content and agree to the RSC using the content to make a film that will be broadcast on Youtube.
Thanks
