Bedrock - No Bedrock this week. We have now received our username and passwords for this site, but we will only start using it once everyone in class is familiar with it.
IXL Maths
A9 Writing numbers up to one million in words: convert words to digits
IXL English
EE9 Is the noun singular or plural?
(Spend at least 15 minutes on each IXL skill, unless you achieve a score of 100 in a shorter time than this.)
Times tables - x4 ready for a test next week. These will also include divisions e.g. 20÷4? How many 4s are in 16? If you’re secure in these ones, then practise one that you are not so familiar with. Use TTRockstars to build up your speed and be part of the competition below.
Rock Stars Super League
As we are now part of the BEBCMAT, we have joined their Rock Stars Super League. Each half term, the schools within the trust compete with each other on TTRS. This half term’s competition is already underway but we can still do our best to get as many points as we can from now till the 18th October. In addition to this, during our Celebration assembly on a Friday, our leaderboard will be announced. Please see the poster. Good luck everyone! See poster

Individual spellings - Some children will have cone home with individual spellings matched to their spelling ability. They will not be tested on these spellings weekly but should work on them each week. We will then assess these at the end of each half term. These spellings will focus on a particular sound or set of sounds that your child has struggled to spell.
Homework will need to have been completed by Tuesday 24/9/24 when I will check their results and house points will be rewarded. Parents will be informed by text if homework is incomplete.
Thanks for your support. If there are any problems, please catch me at the gate at the end of the day or email me at year5@our-lady.blackpool.sch.uk and I will respond as soon as possible.
