The theme of the final daily prayers for this school year is thankfulness, with a focus on looking back at the good things we’ve been part of during the year. Children will spend time in a posture of gratitude to God and respond in prayer to the good things ‘He has showered on us’ (Ephesians 1:8).
We have been extremely busy with our learning in Year 3 this week. Here’s what we have been up to…
On Wednesday, we watch Year 6’s end of day performance. Year 3 were so respectful and a wonderful example of how to watch and enjoy a show!
Today is the PTFA’s Summer Fair, I do hope you have all had a lovely time!
In English, we have finished our “Into The Forest” unit and have spent the end of the week revising spelling rules and practising speaking and listening skills.
In Maths, have continued our mass unit, measuring, comparing, adding and subtracting mass and solving problems with mass.
In PE, we have played games using our cricket skills.
In Science we have investigated shadows and completed a comparative fair test to work out how the angle of a light affects the length of the shadow.

The Maths award went to Archer, for his excellent verbal reasoning during the mass unit.
The Writing award went to Cameron, for his improved writing Stamina.

Reading records, reading books and water bottles need to be in school every day, please.
Y3’s PE days remain the same, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Earrings should not be worn on PE days.
Homework is available on the Y3 Homework section of the website.
Air-Up and similar bottles are not appropriate for school, we have had a few issues with them leaking.
