We have celebrated Pentecost today, it was lovely to see so many children wearing bright colours. Father Frank led a lovely, joyful Pentecost liturgy and then we had an extended playtime with the whole school.
This week we’re celebrating Pentecost! After going up to Heaven, Jesus sent His Holy Spirit to the disciples and all who believed.
We have been extremely busy with our learning in Year 3 this week. Here’s what we have been up to…
In English, we have started looking at the poetry of Edward Lear
In Maths, we continued the time topic. The “Battle of the bands is ongoing!
In Science, we observed how the plants are growing in different conditions.
In PE, we continued the Athletics module, running, jumping and throwing.
In RE, we have been thinking about how the early Church links to how Catholics gather for Mass today.
In Art we cut paper to create mirrored pieces inspired by Henri Matisse.

Reading records, reading books and water bottles need to be in school every day, please.
Y3’s PE days remain the same, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Earrings should not be worn on PE days.
Homework is available on the Y3 Homework section of the website.
Air-Up and similar bottles are not appropriate for school, we have had a few issues with them leaking.
