"He will baptise you with the Holy Spirit" Luke 3:16
Key Messages for Whole School Worship
Children will understand that:
Jesus’ baptism revealed that He is God’s beloved Son and set an example for all believers to follow.
Through baptism we are filled with the Holy Spirit and are invited into God’s family.
The Holy Spirit guides us in living like Jesus and loving others as God’s family too.
Our actions can share the love, kindness and generosity of Jesus to others.

Our learning this week…
In RE, we have begun our new topic ‘Galilee to Jerusalem.’ This week we have explored the events and meaning at the Epiphany, considering the importance of the three gifts brought by the wise men when they visited Jesus at the stable.
In English, we have been exploring word choices within our writing, using dictionaries to understand the meanings of adventurous vocabulary. We have also started our new class text ‘Rhythm of the Rain’, making predictions based on illustrations from the story.
In Maths we have been using known number facts to solve a range of multiplication and division calculations, We have also been working hard to use the ‘greater than’ less than’ and ‘equal’ signs to make comparisons between the values of the total answers
In Science, we have started our new topic ‘Light and Shadows’. This week we thought about the difference between objects that are a source of light and those that are not.
