Welcome to Year 1! I hope you have all had a wonderful summer and are ready for the new term. Just thought I would share a few pieces of information to get us started and then next week I will post an update of the learning that week and celebrate our award winners too. Please check out the website each Friday after school for regular updates, the learning from that week and photographs of the children hard at work! We have had a great couple of days; it has been lovely to getting to know the children and for them to get used to the new routine, new class and new teachers. Full curriculum will start on Monday 6th September.
General pieces of information
PE will be on Monday and Friday so please send the children into class in the PE kits on those days. No earrings can be worn for PE so please ensure that they are taken out at home.
Water bottles - al the children were given a new school bottle today. This will come home each night to be cleaned and re-filled. Please just use the school bottles, our tops are red, and ensure your child brings theirs each day. Lots water bottles can be replaced at the school office, but I am afraid you will have to pay for those.
I will not be in class on a Wednesday afternoon, as it is my release time. This will be covered by Mrs Veasey and Mrs Gibbons and is also when the children will have Music with Miss Benson.
Party Invitations - I am afraid that Mrs Veasey and I will not be able to give out party invitations in class. Please do not send your child into class with them for them to give out - it creates upset and fuss about something that takes place outside of school. Thank-you for your understanding with this matter.
