“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16) – Be the light!
Welcome to our school.
We are proud of our children and the many ways to shine for themselves and for each other and the wider world.
At Our Lady’s we strive to provide an education that excites and empowers our children to be the best person they were meant to be.
God teaches us that each one of us is special and totally unique; we work to help each child deeply knows this feeling. We work with them to grow their gifts so that they can lead happy, dignified and purposeful lives of their own choosing.
Life is for living and we want all of our children to be lights in the world, shining out and having the confidence to be bold and to make the most of the opportunities available to them. Now, and in the future.
Our school is recognised for its caring atmosphere. Our ethos has its foundation in the Catholic faith. Jesus taught us that ‘you should love one another as I have loved you.’ Children and adults of faith and no faith hear and see that Jesus was a great role model. He was patient and kind but he stood up for injustice and fought for what was right. The relationships that children experience here are consistently modelled on Jesus. We understand that as growing and developing children they will meet challenges in their feelings and emotions and we journey with them to ensure that they understand themselves, how to self-manage and how to navigate the world around them. It is in our power to shape our children's chances in life and look after and improve the community in which we live, work and grow. For this reason, we believe in the importance of home, school and parish working in partnership so that any decisions made that involve our children and our community, present and future, are made together.
