Welcome to Our School

Our Lady’s is a happy school with a warm, friendly, caring Catholic ethos, which is central to the work and life of our school. We aim for every pupil at our Lady’s to leave knowing God’s love and being able to show God’s love. We want them to have enjoyed their learning thoroughly, striving to give 100% and achieving the very best that they can so that they are ready for the next part of their lives.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16) – Be the light!

Our Curriculum

Care – Learn – Respect

At Our Lady of the Assumption  Catholic Primary School, we strive to provide an education that excites and empowers our children to be the best person they were meant to be. Our faith shapes our fundamental belief that each child is unique and loved. Every element of school life seeks to develop and encourage a strong sense of each child’s worth. We encourage each child to find and develop their own individual voice and their gifts so that they can lead happy, dignified and purposeful lives of their own choosing. Life is for living and we want all of our children to be active in  developing their skills.

School Club

Our Out of School provision is an excellent resource to school. It is extremely popular and well supported by families and the wider community. If you are a new customer both you and your child are very welcome to visit the club to see the kind of activities that the children do.

Take a look at what we have been up to this week.....

I am so very proud of Year 1 this week. Due to staff illnesses, there have been many times this week where it has just been me and them, and they have risen to the challenge of independence like the stars that they are. So thank-you Year 1 – you have all worked very hard this half term, settling into your new routine brilliantly, and you deserve a lovely half term holiday.
